[1637] Happy Horizons Children's Ranch

Happy Horizons Children’s Ranch is a home for 60+ children rescued from cyber sex, human trafficking, and sexual abuse in the Philippines. We also partner with One Child Matters to develop 1,600 children physically, mentally, and spiritually through child sponsorship. In addition, we also partner with Convoy Of Hope to hold daily feeding programs for over 5,000 children.

Teacher - Will serve in our campus school. Our school is all in English, though English is not the primary language for our students. We would prefer the applicant to start when our school year starts in June and stay until our school year ends in March. Teachers degree is required, or at least a 3rd year student. Also, references for how well the applicant works with children will need to be provided.

*Due to the nature of our ministry with young girls, we can not accept single males.

[1541] Give a Year: Teach English in a Japanese Church Outreach Program

Teach English for up to a year at a Japanese Assemblies of God church as a community outreach. Japan is less than 1% Christian, and it is hard to get people to come to church. However, many will come if there are English classes with native English speakers.

Spend 4 days of orientation in the suburbs of Tokyo (training on how to teach English, basic Japanese language, Japanese culture, Japanese church life, etc.) before going to a local church to serve. Classes are usually a mix of group or private lessons for children, students, housewives, and businessmen.

Chi Alpha Japan started in 1997 at the University of Tokyo and is now on over 25 campuses across Japan. In Tokyo, Chi Alpha is connected to students on seven campuses. Knowing Japanese is not required, but it is helpful to have some knowledge of Japanese and being willing to use it. Opportunities include building relationships, exciting outreaches, conversational English small groups, English and bilingual Bible studies during the week, and being involved at an Assemblies of God church on weekends. [1536] Teen Challenge Cambodia, Vocational Training and Discipleship

Teen Challenge of Cambodia began in 2009 and has since served hundreds of men, women, and children with hope and healing through the love of Jesus Christ. If you have a heart for individuals trapped by drugs, alcohol, prostitution, or other life controlling problems, consider joining the Teen Challenge Cambodia team. Ministry may include teaching preschool and English, as well as discipleship and vocational skills. You can be a part of God’s plan of redemption for these individuals. Couples and singles are all welcome.

[1443] Primary School Teacher at Hope Christian School

Teach at a K-6 school in a village in Vanuatu. Hope Christian Schools are two-room schools with typically less than forty students. They use the ACE curriculum and all classes are taught in English. In many cases, this school is educating the first generation in their respective communities.

Spend a few weeks exploring missions in the Pacific. You will spend time assisting missionaries engaged in pastoral training, children’s ministry, women’s ministry, evangelism, health care, and teaching primary school classes. The focus of this opportunity is to help those exploring missions to develop a Biblical understanding of mission, gain insight into ministry in a cross-cultural context, and acquire hands on experience in a broad spectrum of missions work.

[1361] ESL Teaching English to Young Asian Leaders

Teach English to young church leaders who are studying theology, missions and ministry in order to reach their countries around Asia for Christ. You will be serving in a small team of English teachers, dedicated to building up and empowering a mostly young generation of Asians to study in preparation for pastoral, Bible school, and missionary work at Asia Pacific Theological Seminary in Baguio City, Philippines. Most students are shy and afraid of the challenges they face in mastering the English language and the subject matter in their courses. This is an opportunity to minister to, encourage, and grow with students, both inside and outside of the classroom, in teaching, tutoring, and friendship so that we all can fulfill the purposes the Lord has for us. Located on the side of the mountain, the campus is one of the most beautiful in the world with ample opportunity for cross-cultural learning with students and teachers from over 20 nations.

Requirements: Decent English grammar and writing skills, the heart of a teacher, a willingness to teach English and interact with students, and a desire to see Asians raised up to reach Asia for Christ.

AP Media, the regional media ministry for Asia, needs a trainer who is skilled in video production but wants to multiply themselves through training others. Beyond on site training, we want this individual to develop additional workshops that can improve video or audio production skills for beginners.

Come serve on a church planting team to reach university students through English teaching centers. Ministry focuses on relational evangelism-discipleship for university students and planting a church, as well as reaching the local community.
